Destroying Towns and Villages in Lebanon

I’m running out of words to describe the devastation of the town of Khiam, which is inside the illegal Israeli ‘security zone’ in southern Lebanon. The Israeli army has razed the entire town to the ground and destroyed the 100 year old Khiam detention center, placing an illegal military base on the ruins of it. ( Khiam had served as a detention/torture center by the 🇮🇱 until their withdrawal in 2000).

Why the West Supports Isra-l

Why Israel can stamp out children in broad daylight.
Israel is supported because it is useful. Not because western leaders have some special love for Israelis. If there was no benefit they'd drop them tomorrow.

Israel is an armed Western outpost in the Middle East, a weapons laboratory, an intelligence partner, a domestic political machine, a guilt-management device for Europe, and a permanent excuse for pretending that Western violence is always “security” while other people’s violence is “barbarism.”

The United States has given Israel more cumulative aid than any other country, and Israel remains tied into huge US arms transfers and military financing.

That is the first answer to cui bono (who benefits of the crime):
arms companies, surveillance firms, intelligence agencies, pro-Israel lobbying networks, evangelical blocs, politicians who want donors and protection, think tanks, media institutions that built careers around “the war on terror,” and European governments that would rather subsidize Israeli impunity than confront their own history honestly.

The second answer is cowardice dressed as statecraft.
If Israel is punished, the whole Western moral architecture starts shaking. Why Russia but not Israel? Why Iran but not Israel? Why sanctions for some occupations and trade privileges for another?

The ICJ ordered Israel to prevent genocidal acts and enable humanitarian aid in Gaza, yet the machinery of protection continued.

The EU has debated suspending trade benefits, but even that became politically difficult because Israel is deeply embedded in Europe’s economy, memory, research networks and security imagination.

Germany carries Holocaust guilt.

America carries imperial strategy.

Britain and France carry colonial reflexes.

Brussels carries bureaucratic paralysis.

Everyone carries a reason to look away. So Israel is not given a license to kill because nobody knows what is happening. Israel is given a license to kill because too many powerful institutions benefit from pretending that what is happening is complicated.

Hate Crimes Against Armenian Christians

Israeli Watchdog Reveals Alarming Spike in Hate Crimes: 39% of Attacks Target Armenian Christians.

In a damning report, The Religious Freedom Data Center (RFDC) have published their 2026 Q2 'Incidents against Christians in Israel' in which 39% of hate crimes in the Old City of Jerusalem occurred in the Armenian Quarter, targeting Armenian clergy and civilians alike.

The incidents included spitting, verbal abuse, trespassing, desecration of Holy sites, and vandalism.

The RFDC is an independent initiative founded in June 2023 by Yisca Harani, an Israeli activist, scholar and expert in Christian history and interfaith relations. The center was established in response to a noticeable increase in anti-Christian incidents in Jerusalem, particularly in the Old City. Its primary mission is to document, report, and assist in addressing acts of harassment and violence against Christian individuals, clergy, and institutions in Israel.

The 1954 False Flag Lavon Affair

On this day in 1954 (Jul 6), Israel carried out the Lavon Affair[1], a false flag terrorist campaign that would’ve seen American and British civilians and military personnel murdered for Israel’s personal gain. (What’s new?)

They recruited Egyptian Jews to plant bombs in American and British civilian targets: cinemas, libraries, post offices, and cultural centers.

The goal was to frame Egyptians and drag the U.S. and Britain into war against Egypt.

A bomb went off prematurely, exposing the plot. Several operatives were caught and executed.
