Making Up Missed Prayers: Immediately Or Not?

According to the Hanbalis, if someone misses a prayer for a valid excuse, does he have to make it up immediately? Or does he have up to a certain time to make it up? If he is permitted some respite, where is it up to? Is there a difference here between someone who missed a prayer with a valid excuse or with an invalid one?

The official position in the madhhab is that such a person needs to make up the prayer immediately. Making up the prayers is given a priority over most other things, though not at the expense of other obligations like earning a lawful income, praying current prayers, sleeping, and the like.
