The Prophet's ﷺ Description of the Deeds By Which a Muslim
Becomes Beloved of Allah and of People
Ibn Majah narrated from Sahl ibn Sa`d al-Sa`idi
(ra) that he said: "A man came to the Prophet
ﷺ and said: `O Messenger of Allah, show me a
deed which, if I perform it, Allah will love me, and
people will love me.' The Prophet ﷺ replied:
`Renounce the world and Allah will love you, and
renounce what lies in the hands of people and they
will love you.'"
